Disability Pride Month Event 2025

As part of Disability Awareness Month in July , the JEDI MATTERS Collective will be running an online event.  Hosted by Cawston Press, we’re thrilled to share we have a session planned in with David Smith MBE https://www.davidsmithathlete.com/

David is an incredible athlete – he won Gold in rowing in the 2012 Paralympics – he has faced numerous health challenges, including a cancer operation that led to full paralysis on his left side, yet he continues to pursue an active life with incredible resilience and a mindset that will undoubtedly give you inspiration on living life to the full.

As we celebrate Disability Pride Month, it's essential to reflect on the importance of fostering inclusive spaces for everyone. Disability is often overlooked in conversations about diversity, yet it affects millions and encompasses a wide range of experiences and identities. This event provides a vital platform for sharing stories, raising awareness, and discussing actionable steps we can take to create more inclusive environments. Together, we can challenge stereotypes, promote understanding, and ensure that all individuals, regardless of their abilities, feel valued and empowered. Join us as we elevate voices and pave the way for a more inclusive future.
